A Bit About Me
I'm 25 years old and have five years of experience in children's entertainment, having hosted over 450 events whilst completing my degree in psychology. I have performed as a variety of characters, including (but not limited to) fairies, princesses, mermaids, superheroes, pirates and witches.
Whilst working for a company to host these parties, I noticed the lack of children living with a disability who were thrown a party with entertainers, or who were included in other children's parties. Parents at company events often said to me that they would love to throw their child a party, but it has always been thrown in the "too hard" basket.
I would like to combine my experience as a children's entertainer with my expertise in the disability field, to provide a service that is not currently available in the Perth region.
I have worked in the disability sector for the past six years, in several roles, including: a live-in support worker for a young lady with an intellectual disability, a support worker for two young boys with Autism and ADHD, and a psychologist for children with a wide range of developmental disabilities, complex behaviours and sensory sensitivities. Through this experience I have grown sensitive to noticing, understanding and then accommodating to the needs and abilities of each individual.
Please note that this service is for entertainment purposes only.
